Inspired by the delicate blue flowers and intricate greenery of Brunnera, the Brunnera Mountaineer Cowl beautifully captures the essence of spring’s vibrant growth. Using a double bobbin shuttle, two threads in shades of blue and green are carefully paired to create a harmonious, fluid design. The point twill weaving structure flows gracefully through the fabric, adding depth and texture to the piece. This one of a kind cowl evokes the natural beauty of blooming springtime, with its subtle yet striking color palette and intricate craftsmanship. The delicate interplay of colors and weaving technique creates a sophisticated, organic accessory that’s perfect for adding a fresh, nature-inspired touch to any outfit.
This cowl is handwoven primarily with Tencel, a soft and cooling fiber derived from Eucalyptus wood pulp. The cotton and linen content adds texture and warmth. It is lightweight and suitable for all climates.
Mountaineer Cowls are sewn with a twist. Twisted cowls are both functional and aesthetic. The twist offers an improved fit, versatility, and insulation. It also adds beautiful texture and depth, with versatility depending on how the cowl is adjusted.
Designed, handwoven, and sewn by Emelie Weber Wade in Asheville, NC, 2025.
