Design Weaving Drafts: PAPER

Service Description

Learn how to confidently read a weaving draft and begin designing your own using simple, accessible tools. In this focused 40-minute Zoom class, we'll break down the structure of a draft, understanding threading, tie-up, and treadling, and how they work together to create cloth. From there, we'll translate that knowledge into designing original drafts on paper, building a foundation for more intentional and independent weaving. This session is ideal for beginners looking to demystify drafts, as well as intermediate weavers who want a clearer, more hands-on approach to design. No prior knowledge of weaving or designing is required for this basic class. Design Weaving Drafts: PAPER will meet virtually via Zoom at 12 PM EST on Monday, July 20. The session will be recorded and emailed to participants.
